The Lipman Miliband Trust is looking for new trustees. The Trust’s mission is to support the practice and dissemination of socialist research and education. For over forty years we have been providing financial assistance to a wide range of projects and campaigns on the left, including Marxist, feminist, green, anti-racist and international solidarity organisations.
We are looking for individuals of all backgrounds with broad experience of transformative social movements and left wing politics who can offer long-term commitment to the work of the Trust. You will need to attend evening meetings in London around four times a year at which grant awards are decided. Together with your co-trustees, you would also share responsibility for the management of the Trust and for decisions about its future direction. The role is unpaid but travel and reasonable accommodation expenses are covered.
If you are interested in applying, please email firstname.lastname@example.org by 1 September, with a brief statement (maximum 750 words) outlining relevant experience and your thoughts on how you might contribute to the Trust’s work. Please note that shortlisted candidates should be able for interview in London in the week beginning 2 October.
